Codename: October
Age: 18
Sex: Male
Source of Powers: Mutation/Magic
Description of Powers: Leon is able to freeze time and move about in it, but is unable to affect anything he was not already in physical contact with. This includes structures and objects such as doors.
Powers gained by: a natural mutation brought about by magic. As some genes are only activated when the person is exposed to certain elements it is doubtful Leon's powers ever would have been if he had never been saved by a magic using hero. The hero cast a protective sheild on him to prevent any further injuries from being inflicted on him after he was assaulted by two muggers.
History: Leon was raised in the city by both of his parents on Elric Island. While his family was indeed a wealthy one he was in no way a spoiled child. His life was an average one for someone in his position, he attended private schools where he did well, and simply enjoyed normal things such as hanging out with his friends. One evening as he was walking home from a friends home he was abruptly assaulted by two men. They beat him until he gave them his wallet, but then countinued to kick him when he refused to give them his ring, a family heirloom. It was here that he was saved by the magic using hero. It was about a year later when his powers developed. Leon managed to anger a kid form his class, so after school the angered fool decided that jumping Leon was a good idea. When he tried to Leon simply disappeared, or at least that's how it seemed to those watching. Really he just panicked, this brought his power out, so when everything suddenly froze he didn't waste time in running away. It was only later in Magdelene Park that he experimented with it. He told his parents the next day, and instantly regretted it when they began giving him a long lecture on using his abilities intelligently. Later that year his parents were on their way to a charity event when, while stopped at a red light, they were carjacked. His father was shot in the struggle. When his mother started screaming for help she too was shot. Neither survived. The carjacker was able to escape, but Leon, realizing this probably wasn't the only time they would do somehting like this, became a vigilante in hopes of one day capturing the carjacker. After graduating from High School he began devoting himself full time to his "other" work. One evening while searching for someplace where he could help he saw Griceron(frozen in mid-kick) taking down a burgeler. He approached Griceron after he finished and, after a few weeks of teaming with him and Viseur, joined the Underground.
Other Details: Leon's main responsibility in the group is to go out and find where crimes are happening in the city. Once several have been found he retrieves his teammates, places them at the crime scenes, and unfreezes everything.

Oh, this again.
Plans, that again. I have to make plans. Of course, I'm the one doing it rather than having my parents do it for me, but still. While I find it completely necessary to make plans so that I may attend TCC come January it's also kinda depressing to think that I won't be able to sit and do nothing anymore. So first things first, I need to register to take the SAT. Apparently the score I earned on the writing portion of the TAKS, while passing, was not high enough for me to simply enroll straight off at TCC. Which is sad since TCC has such incredibly low standards when it comes to admission. So yes, the SAT. I decided to take the SAT since that was one of the tests you could take to get into TCC, but more than that I figured I may need them later on to gain admission to a Real college. Also I wanted to see how I compare to my peers.
Back in February I found out about a test that the military gives to the people applying to find out what they're good in and all that. I decided I wanted to take this test just to see where I ranked. So I pretended I was interested in the Army so that I could go and take the test. I went and spoke with the recruiter and took the practice test, which just gives you a general idea of where you fall. I scored in the 92nd percentile, as in, I scored higher than 91% of everyone else that took the test. Somehow somewhere in all this I got it into my head that joining the military would be a Good Idea! Which now I realize means the recruiters are damn good at their jobs if they can make Me interested in the military. So I went and checked out the Navy and the Air Force as well, but not the Marines, because for some reason they just don't appeal to me. The Air Force didn't really capture my attention, but I did become interested in the Navy. So I did some research into various aspects of the Navy, looked at what Boot Camp was like, all the fun stuff. The scary thing is I came very close to actually joining, I even set a date to do so. I have my mom to thank for making me think twice about it, even if she did have to cry to do so. All that because I wanted to see how I ranked compared to others.
There's a part of me that thinks that joining the Navy really would have been good for me, what with learning discipline, which I severely lack, and all. But what I don't know if I could live like that, what with the anti-gay policies and all. It's not so much that I don't think I would pass as a straight guy, since I pretty much already do, but it would just be too awkard, especially in places like the showers.
I can imagine, "Uh...why do you have a boner?"
"Oh! Uh...just thinking of the last time I spent the night with my girlfriend."
"Ah, gotcha."
Not the best way to live, and to keep that up for four years...
In other news, NaNoWriMo starts November 1st, and while I had wanted to have the plot outlined so that it would move along more smoothly I have yet to even finish creating the characters. The character profiles that I've created already have been posted here, so take a look if you'd like.
Finally, switching to another completely unrelated topic. Last night I threw up. It was unpleasant. I have reason to believe that it was due to the dessert that I made last night, but of course what caused it doesn't seem all that important whenever you're dashing for the trash can. At the moment I only feel slightly nausious(spelling?) and I'm hoping it doesn't go beyond that again. That'll teach me to wash my hands when handling food.

Name: Griceron
Codename: N/A
Age: 34 (Approximately)
Sex: Male
Source of Powers: Training/Nature
Specialty: Close Combat
Description of Powers: Griceron has a slight amount of control over the flow of kinetic energy in his surroundings. While on its own this does not allow much power when used in junction with martial arts it is very effective, basically allowing him to increase the impact of a blow. Other than its application in martial arts its main use is allowing a small amount of control over the air around him.
Powers gained by: training. While the ability to manipulate kinetic energy is inherent in his race without proper training it is all but powerless. Even after years of training Griceron is only mediocre in his level of control. His strength in Martial Arts, however, is quite potent, even without the use of his powers. His style is one originating from his homeland and focuses mainly on crippling blows. When used with his powers it allows him to focus the impact on a particular spot while keeping the force from spreading out.
History: Griceron was raised by his mother in his homeland up until age 14, when he entered mandatory military service. He served the mandatory 6 years without ever seeing combat. The time in the military benefited Griceron by teaching him his form of martial arts as well as better control over his abilities. It was after serving that he joined an abolitionist group. His race had enslaved another on their planet, the enslaved race being different in that they lack horns, wings, and abilities. Many abolitionist rallies were held in the capital city peacefully, but during one demonstration violence broke out. Griceron fought with the city guard and managed to escape, but was later captured at the group's headquarters. Charged with opposing the mainstream and with attacking the city guard he was found guilty and sentenced to planetary exile. Using portal technology they sent those with that sentence to various inhabitable realities. Out of his group Griceron was the only one sent to Earth. Soon after arriving he was captured by the U.S. government for study. While in the government facility he learned English and a bit about his new planet. After a few years at a government facility he managed to escape and continue his fight against all forms of oppression (which of course includes being held in a government facility without having committed a crime). Of course, looking slightly demonic he tended to do so at night. One evening after stopping a mugging he had a chance encounter with Viseur, who had been watching, and after a time joined the Underground.
Other Details: Griceron has wings spanning 15 feet. They are similar to bat wings and sometimes appear to be on fire, but this is mearly due to a distortion of the light being reflected. He has an odd accent, and considers many things, culturally, to be counter-intuitive. He completely covers his face, and whole body for that matter. His skin is pitch black while his nails and places where bone protrudes, such as his horns and parts of his wings, are an electric blue.

Name: Penelope Benett Laise
Codename: None
Age: 26
Sex: Female
Source of Powers: Birth
Specialty: Observation
Description of Powers: Penelope's powers include being normal, drawing, and existing. Any other powers are undeveloped at this time.
Powers gained by: existing.
History: Penelope was raised in the suburbs of the city by her father and various step-mothers. She drifted through school, only doing enough to pass, while committing all her efforts towards drawing. Barely making it through High School she immediately moved into the city, where she began doing freelance Graphic Design. Luckily for her she possessed enough natural talent to do this successfully. She had just opened her own office when the accident occured. Penelope's apartment and office were both destroyed in the accident.
Other Details: Penelope, when not occupied with anything else, is always drawing. Most of what she draws is taken straight out of what's going on around her although she often draws what she imagines happening as well, making a different story entirely.
Note: I don't steal your soul so don't steal my characters.

Codename: Viseur
Real Name: Unknown at this time. (Curse you indecisiveness!)
Age: 25-30
Sex: Male
Source of Powers: Training/Technology
Specialty: Long-range combat/Stealth
Description of Powers: Viseur is an elite archer, meaning his "powers" are a product of extensive training rather than any special ability. He uses non-lethal arrows to take down his enemies, although he also carries the lethal alternative incase a situation should call for use of such measures. The non-lethal arrows are of his own design; they lack a proper piercing tip. In the place of a tip there is a syringe tip, like that of a poison dart, which injects a powerful paralytic poison when it hits the target. One arrow is enough to take town the majority of people; too much of it can inflict permanent damage to the nervous system. Viseur also uses tricks. The tricks involve, but are not limited to, such things as caltrops, smoke grenades, flash grenades, throwing sounds, and, when lethal measures are necessary, proximity mines.
Powers gained by: extensive training. While it is unknown exactly who taught him Archery and his trick tactics he has hinted that he was once part of an organization other than the Underground that dealt with meta-human threats. It is unknown who supplies him with his tricks and materials for making the special arrows.
History: Other than him hinting that he was once part of an organization that specialized in dealing with Meta-humans Viseur's history is unknown.
Other Details: While archery is Viseur's method of choice (Method of taking down the baddies that is) he looks more like a special-ops soldier than an archer. His face is competely covered by his mask and goggles.
Note: I don't steal your soul so don't steal my characters.

Name: Jareth Orious
Codename(s): Orion, Cyburden
Age: 27
Sex: Male
Source of Powers: Technology
Specialty: Mixed Combat
Description of Powers: Blasts of Kinetic Energy/Electricity. Can be used in a number of different ways. Jareth has yet to find the extent in which the powers can be utilized. Due to the easily upgradable design of the suit he is constantly finding new ways to use it.
Powers gained by: Knowing the right people. After the accident he helped a colleague design a system similar to the one used in his suit. He was able to convince said colleauge to assist in the creation of the suit without actually alerting him to what its true purpose was.
History: Up until the accident Jareth's life was completely normal. He was raised in the suburbs of the city by his parents. During school he was placed in the advanced classes, where he barely scrapped by. While he never did particularly well in his classes this may have been due to a lack of focus rather than a lack of intelligence. This is supported by the fact that he tested highly enough to claim a semester's worth of college credit. After High School he attended Hawking University where he studied to get his degree in Engineering. For his internship to receive his Masters degree he worked for Douglas Biotech, a company responsible for creating a wide array of medical products, most notably advanced prosthetic limbs. After graduating he was offered a job at Douglas Biotech, which he took, and has been working there ever since.
Other details: While not really a power (which is why it isn't listed under Description of powers) Jareth's suit also has translucent 'wings' which grant him flight. The wings are only visible when activated; when inactive they become transparent and wrap around the suit. More details on the wings when I think of them.
Note: I don't steal your soul so don't steal my characters.

Thus it begins..
I never knew blogspot existed until earlier today, I'm a bit slow in finding websites such as these, even the hyper popular ones. Why did I make it? Because I read Amira's blogspot, and I felt the desire to at least Try to be as witty and funny as she is in her own blog. There's a chance I'll fail at that, and there's also a good chance that I'll create this, update it twice, and then never touch it again, but one must at least make an attempt. So here it is, my first blog, presented to you in Acticolor by Orious.
